Replace Squarespace for events.
An event platform, not a website builder.
For organizers building event pages on a general website builder
Today, in four tabs
Not everyone runs all four. Whichever of them you do run, the event details get copied between them by hand, because none of them was built for events.
After
- A public page for every event, and a calendar of all of them Free
- Free RSVP with a capacity limit per date Free
- Paid tickets, 25 a month, each one scanned at the door Free
- Unlimited ticket sales and the live check-in dashboard Pro
- Newsletters to the people who follow your schedule Free
The gaps
Where Squarespace limits you for events
Squarespace was not built for event management. These are the places the event part has to be done somewhere else.
- Requires building event pages from scratch or with plugins
- Ticketing needs third-party integrations with extra fees
- No calendar sync or attendee management built in
- Monthly cost for a website when you just need event pages
None of that is a fault in Squarespace. It is a general-purpose tool being asked to run an event, which is why the rest of the job ends up in other tabs.
Done natively
What Event Schedule gives you over Squarespace
The same work, in the tool that already knows what an event is.
Ready-made Event Pages
Professional event pages are generated automatically from your event details. No design or page building required.
Integrated Ticketing
Ticket sales are built in, paid through Stripe or PayPal with zero platform fees, and a buyer can put several of your events in one checkout. No third-party ticketing plugin taking a cut.
Embeddable Widget
Already have a website? Embed your event calendar on any site, Squarespace and WordPress included, free on every plan; the ticket widget is Pro.
Open Source
Fully open source and selfhostable, with a backup export of your schedules. No vendor lock-in, where a Squarespace export leaves calendar and store pages behind.
All-in-one Platform
Ticketing, newsletters, calendar sync, AI tools, and event graphics in one platform. No plugins or integrations to manage.
White-Label Branding
Remove Event Schedule branding on Pro for a fully custom look, and use your own domain on Enterprise, with your logo and colors on every plan.
The swap sheet
Squarespace vs Event Schedule
Line by line, on the event work. A dash in the Squarespace column means that job is not built in, so today it is living in another tab. A tick in the Event Schedule column does not mean free: the three cards below say which plan carries what.
From $0/mo (Pro $5/mo)
| Feature | Squarespace | Event Schedule |
|---|---|---|
| Event pages | Manual page build | Auto-generated |
| Ticketing | Third-party plugins | Zero platform fees |
| Newsletters | Email Campaigns | Built-in |
| Calendar sync (Google, Outlook, CalDAV) | Not built in | Two-way sync |
| Embeddable widget | N/A | Works on any site |
| Open source | Not built in | Selfhostable |
| White-label branding | Yes | Pro |
| Platform fees | 2% on Personal plan | Zero |
Free
$0Unlimited events and schedules. Public event pages and a shareable calendar. Two-way Google, Outlook and CalDAV sync. Free RSVP with a capacity limit, and 25 paid tickets a month, scanned at the door. Event graphics, embeddable calendar, built-in analytics, AI event parsing, and newsletters to 10 recipients a month.
Pro
$5 a monthUnlimited ticket sales and the live check-in dashboard. Custom fields on the form, ticket waitlist, promo codes, sales export. The embeddable ticket widget, the REST API and webhooks. Newsletters to 100 recipients a month.
Enterprise
$15 a monthYour own domain. Up to five team members. Internal and unlisted events. AI flyer and style generation, AI agenda scanning, WhatsApp event creation, and newsletters to 1,000 recipients a month.
Two footnotes worth reading before you switch. Your follower list is never capped, but the monthly newsletter allowance counts recipients rather than sends, so one letter to 40 followers spends 40 of it; the automatic digest of new events that confirmed subscribers get does not count against it. And Free is a single team member; extra members are Enterprise. What does not change with the plan is the fee on ticket sales, which is zero on all three, or the ways to get paid: Stripe, PayPal, Payfast for rand, Invoice Ninja, a payment link or cash. Past the processor's own fee, the money is yours, and a Stripe or PayPal sale can be refunded from the Sales page in full or in part.

Squarespace to Event Schedule FAQ
What people ask before they move the event work across.
Is Event Schedule a good Squarespace alternative for event pages?
Yes. Event Schedule provides ready-made event pages with all event details, ticket purchasing, and a shareable schedule. No website building, plugins, or custom page design required. You can also embed the calendar widget on your existing Squarespace site.
How does Event Schedule pricing compare to Squarespace?
Event Schedule is free for unlimited events and a public schedule page. Selling is free too, 25 paid tickets a month at zero platform fees, and the Pro plan at $5/month removes the ceiling. Squarespace costs $16 or more per month for a basic website, plus additional fees for third-party ticketing integrations.
Do I still need a website if I use Event Schedule?
Not necessarily. Your Event Schedule page works as a standalone event website with a custom URL, all your events, ticket sales, and subscriber signups. If you already have a website, you can embed the Event Schedule calendar widget on it.
Can I keep my Squarespace site and use Event Schedule for events?
Yes. You can embed the Event Schedule calendar widget on your Squarespace site with a simple code block. Use Squarespace for your main website and Event Schedule for event pages, ticketing, and attendee management. The two work side by side.
Can I embed Event Schedule on my Squarespace site?
Yes. The embeddable calendar widget works on any website including Squarespace, free on every plan. Add a code block to your Squarespace page and paste the embed snippet to show your event calendar. The widget that sells tickets right on your page is on Pro.
How do payments and refunds work?
Buyers pay through Stripe or PayPal, or by Payfast for rand, Invoice Ninja, a payment link or cash, on every plan, and can buy tickets to several of your events in one checkout. A Stripe or PayPal sale can be refunded from the Sales page in full or in part, with the money going back through the provider. A CSV export of your sales is on Pro.
