Calendly to Event Schedule

Replace Calendly for events.

Appointment booking, public events, and ticketing in one place.

For organizers using appointment scheduling for public events

Today, in four tabs

Calendly Doodle Google Forms Linktree

Not everyone runs all four. Whichever of them you do run, the event details get copied between them by hand, because none of them was built for events.

The swap

After

your-name.eventschedule.com

  • Newsletters to the people who follow your schedule Free

The gaps

Where Calendly limits you for events

Calendly was not built for event management. These are the places the event part has to be done somewhere else.

Calendly
  1. Designed for meetings, not public events or performances
  2. No ticketing, payment processing, or attendee limits
  3. No public event calendar or shareable schedule page
  4. No event graphics, flyers, or promotional tools

None of that is a fault in Calendly. It is a general-purpose tool being asked to run an event, which is why the rest of the job ends up in other tabs.

Done natively

What Event Schedule gives you over Calendly

The same work, in the tool that already knows what an event is.

Public Event Pages

Every event gets a shareable page with full details, images, and ticket purchasing. Built for audiences, not meeting invitees.

Ticketing & Payments

Sell tickets with multiple ticket types, promo codes, and zero platform fees. Calendly cannot process event payments.

Google Calendar Sync

Two-way Google Calendar sync keeps your events updated automatically. Similar calendar integration, designed for events.

Event Graphics

Generate shareable event graphics and AI flyers automatically. Promote your events visually on social media.

Audience Building

Subscribers, newsletters, and fan engagement tools help you build an audience. Calendly focuses on individual scheduling.

Embeddable Calendar Widget

Embed your event calendar on any website. Show your schedule wherever your audience is, not just on a scheduling page.

The swap sheet

Calendly vs Event Schedule

Line by line, on the event work. A dash in the Calendly column means that job is not built in, so today it is living in another tab. A tick in the Event Schedule column does not mean free: the three cards below say which plan carries what.

Free

$0

Unlimited events and schedules. Public event pages and a shareable calendar. Two-way Google, Outlook and CalDAV sync. Free RSVP with a capacity limit. Embeddable calendar, built-in analytics, AI event parsing, and 10 newsletter emails a month.

Pro

$5 a month

Ticketing with QR check-in and the check-in dashboard. Custom fields on the form, waitlist, promo codes, sales export. Event graphics, the embeddable ticket widget, the REST API and webhooks. 100 newsletter emails a month.

Enterprise

$15 a month

Your own domain. Up to five team members. Internal and unlisted events. AI flyer and style generation, AI agenda scanning, WhatsApp event creation, and 1,000 newsletter emails a month.

Two footnotes worth reading before you switch. Your follower list is never capped, but the monthly newsletter allowance counts recipients rather than sends, so one letter to 40 followers spends 40 of it. And Free is a single team member; extra members are Enterprise. What does not change with the plan is the fee on ticket sales, which is zero on all three. Past Stripe's own processing, the money is yours.

Calendly

About Calendly

Calendly is a scheduling tool designed for booking one-on-one meetings and appointments. Some event organizers use it to schedule events, but it lacks public event pages, ticketing, and the ability to share a calendar of events with an audience.

What it is good at

  • Excellent for one-on-one and small group scheduling
  • Calendar integration for availability management
  • Automated reminders and follow-ups for meetings
Event Schedule

Why switch to Event Schedule?

Calendly schedules meetings. Event Schedule does that too - with built-in appointment booking - plus public events, ticket sales, audience building, and promotional tools.

What moves across

  • Public event pages with full details, images, and ticket purchasing
  • Ticketing with multiple types, promo codes, and zero platform fees
  • Two-way Google Calendar sync included free
  • Newsletters and subscriber management to grow your audience

Calendly to Event Schedule FAQ

What people ask before they move the event work across.

Is Event Schedule a good Calendly alternative for public events?

Yes. Calendly is built for one-on-one appointment scheduling. Event Schedule is built for public events with audiences. You get public event pages, ticket sales, a shareable schedule, newsletters, and event graphics that Calendly does not offer.

Does Event Schedule have a free plan?

Yes. The free plan includes unlimited events, public event pages, Google Calendar sync, newsletters, and fan engagement features. Ticketing with zero platform fees is available on the Pro plan for $5/month.

Does Event Schedule sync with Google Calendar like Calendly?

Yes. Event Schedule includes two-way Google Calendar sync on the free plan. Events you create sync to your Google Calendar, and Google Calendar events can sync back. CalDAV sync is also supported.

Can attendees add events to their own Google Calendar?

Yes. Event pages include an option to add the event to Google Calendar or download an iCal file. Two-way Google Calendar sync also keeps your own calendar updated automatically when you create or edit events in Event Schedule.

Can I use Event Schedule for recurring events?

Yes. Event Schedule supports recurring events with flexible scheduling patterns. Each occurrence can have its own ticket types and attendee limits, which is something Calendly cannot handle for public events.
