Straight answers
Three lines we do not claim.
A card you can trust has to name what is missing from it. These three are true about Event Schedule no matter which platform you are holding it against.
No marketplace
You bring the audience
Your public events can be listed on the Event Schedule browse and search pages, but a listing is not a marketplace's built-in audience. What actually fills a room is your own schedule page, an embeddable calendar, a follower QR code, newsletters, and an interest list that emails people when tickets go on sale.
Seat maps are Enterprise
Ticket types, then seats
On Free and Pro a ticket type has a name, a price and a quantity, and buyers are not choosing a specific seat. A reserved-seating house needs Enterprise, where a venue schedule draws the room once and buyers pick their seats from the map.
One team member on Free
Extra members are Enterprise
The free plan is one person per schedule. Adding team members is on Enterprise and is capped at five on the hosted platform, so do not plan on inviting a whole staff for nothing.
Everything else on this page is a line you can check for yourself. Back to the card
The margin marks
Where the marks fall our way.
22 of the 43 lines above carry a diamond. Here are the 6 advantages over Eventbrite that most often decide it, in plain language rather than table cells.
0% Platform Fees
Eventbrite charges 3.7% + $1.79 per ticket, plus 2.9% payment processing per order. With Event Schedule, you keep your revenue minus Stripe or PayPal processing.
Custom Domain
Use your own domain for your event pages, on Enterprise. Eventbrite does not offer custom domain support at any price.
AI Event Parsing
Paste event details in any format, or upload a flyer, and the parser fills in the event for you to check. Fifty a day on the free and Pro plans.
Open Source
Fully open source with no vendor lock-in. Selfhost on your own server instead of depending on Eventbrite's platform and fee structure.
Calendar Sync
Two-way Google, Outlook and CalDAV sync included free. Eventbrite lacks native two-way calendar sync.
Eventbrite Auto-Import
Connect your Eventbrite account and import all your events in one click. Event details, tickets, venues, and images are transferred automatically. On Pro.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions about switching from Eventbrite.
Can I import my existing Eventbrite events?
Yes. With the Pro plan, you can connect your Eventbrite account and import your events in bulk. Event details, ticket types, venues, and images are all transferred automatically.
Is it easy to switch from Eventbrite to Event Schedule?
Yes. There is no need to migrate your Eventbrite history. Create a free schedule, add your upcoming events (or use AI import to paste and parse them), and share your new schedule URL with your audience.
How does Event Schedule pricing compare to Eventbrite?
Eventbrite's US pricing is a 3.7% + $1.79 service fee per paid ticket, plus a 2.9% payment processing fee per order. Event Schedule charges zero platform fees at every plan level, so you pay only Stripe's or PayPal's own processing. The Pro plan is a flat $5/mo regardless of how many tickets you sell.
Does Event Schedule have an event marketplace like Eventbrite?
Event Schedule focuses on giving organizers their own branded schedule pages rather than a shared marketplace. You get a dedicated URL (or your own domain on Enterprise), embeddable calendar widgets, a live calendar feed people can subscribe to, and an interest list on each event that emails people when tickets go on sale.
Can I refund a ticket buyer?
Yes, from the Sales page, on every plan. A Stripe or PayPal sale can be refunded in full or in part, and the money goes back through the provider before the sale changes status. A partial refund keeps the tickets valid and shows how much has gone back so far; a full refund returns the tickets to sale. A sale paid another way, such as cash, is marked as refunded instead, because no money moves through us.
Does Event Schedule do reserved seating?
Yes, on the Enterprise plan. A venue schedule draws its room once, with sections, rows, tables, standing areas and wheelchair spaces, and buyers pick their seats from the map at checkout. A box office view handles holds, phone bookings and seat moves. On Free and Pro, ticket types have a name, a price and a quantity, without assigned seats.
